Those Last-Minute Moments in Wedding Planning

On a wedding day, my work starts as soon as I reach the venue.

Sometimes when I reach in the morning, it feels like there is still so much left to do. Someone is putting up the flowers, someone is checking the lights, and the stage team is busy with their setup.

Then suddenly, you look at the time and the function is getting closer.

That is when the small things start coming up.

Sometimes there are not enough flowers on a table. Sometimes a guest needs a different room. Sometimes someone from the family asks if we can add a little more decoration somewhere.

Then the phone rings again.

And one small task turns into two or three more.

At that time, I just have to see what needs to be done first.

I keep moving around the venue. One minute I am with the decoration team, then I am talking to the catering team, and then I am with the family. In between all this, the phone keeps ringing.

Of course, it gets tiring.

But I don't want the family to feel that pressure. For them, it is a special day. They should enjoy it instead of worrying about what is happening behind the scenes.

While working with Baba Saab Events, I have seen this many times. No matter how well we plan a wedding, something or the other changes at the last moment.

Sometimes everything goes exactly as planned. And sometimes something new comes up just five minutes before the function.

There is no point in panicking at that time.

You just deal with it and move on.

I think this is the most real part of wedding planning for me.

The guests are enjoying themselves, taking pictures and having a good time. The family is happy.

And somewhere on the side, we are still checking if everything is going alright.

When I finally see the bride, groom and their family smiling, I feel like all that running around was worth it.

The small problems we had during the day won't matter anymore.

And maybe that is one of the best parts of being a wedding planner.
